What is a course?

A course on the dashboard is practical work or structured information created by an instructor in fulfillment of a degree or training.

1. On the landing page, click the arrow (<) to expand the panel on the left hand. Once that is done, the dashboard should look like the image below. After, select courses from the options.

1. Click the plus button at the bottom right of the page to add a new course.This is depicted with the arrow in the image.

1. If you successfully followed the previous steps, you should see a screen similar to the image below. Every course created on the dashboard requires certain details.

• The “order” shows the arrangement of the courses. Example, a course with order no 15 would appear before a course with order no 25.

• The “title” represents the name of the course.

• The “choose file” button allows you too add an image with size 200KB or less to the course

• The “description” allows you to provide a little information about the course.

• The “teacher” represents the organization creating the course or in other words the owner of the content.

  Once these sections are filled, go ahead and click save.

1. The course should be displayed if the above step is successful. Courses can be searched for on the dashboard either by typing the title in the “search by” box or by typing a text in the “search text” box.
